FIFA is shocked by the decision of UEFA and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) to include ten South American teams in the League of Nations, the Daily Mail reports, citing a source in FIFA.

FIFA on December 20, with the participation of 211 national federations, will hold a virtual summit on the expansion of the League of Nations.

The national teams of Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Venezuela will participate in the tournament from 2024.

The corresponding agreement was signed by UEFA and CONMEBOL.

Earlier, UEFA Vice-President Zbigniew Boniek said that from 2024 the national teams from South America will participate in the League of Nations.
