We saw it coming!

Bergerac Périgord Football Club (N2) achieved the feat of qualifying for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France at the expense of Metz (L1), eliminated at the end of the penalty shoot-out (0-0 , 5 tab to 4) Sunday in Dordogne.

In a rather balanced match and without any real scoring opportunities, the Périgord fans, leaders of their group in the league, managed the fateful session perfectly, in particular their goalkeeper Pierre Laborde who released Pape Sarr's attempt.

The exploit of the day is (for the moment) signed Bergerac!

Never in its history has the Bergerac club succeeded in eliminating a Ligue 1 club. Metz, 18th in L1 before the last day of the first leg on Wednesday in Lyon, continues to sink into the crisis.

In all the other matches at the start of the afternoon, logic was respected with the qualifications of OM, Monaco, Lens and Saint-Etienne.

👏 The feat for @ BPFC24 (N2) who eliminated FC Metz and joined the 16th finals of #CoupeDeFrance!

✅ The "logic" was respected in the other matches: The @ OM_Officiel, the @ AS_Monaco, the @ ASSEofficiel, and the @RCLens will be present in the next round!
