A German club obliges its players to bear the costs of Corona virus tests

German football club Hertha Berlin announced today that players who have not been vaccinated with the emerging coronavirus vaccine will have to pay for the mandatory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests themselves, starting now.

According to the rules in force in the German League (Bundesliga), players must undergo BCR examinations twice a week, but Hertha Berlin is witnessing examinations about six times, after witnessing several cases of infection and the entire team underwent isolation for a period in Last season.

The BCR examination costs about 70 euros ($82), and Hertha Berlin confirmed what the TZ and Bild newspapers reported that the club will not bear the costs of these tests again for players who have not received the vaccine.

Freddy Bobic, Hertha Berlin's football director, said in statements to the two newspapers that more than 90% of Hertha Berlin's players had received the vaccine.
