After the loss against Denmark in the World Cup premiere yesterday, it was a pressed Tre Kronor that was set against Belarus today.

A slow pace Tre Kronor had a hard time creating really hot chances and after two goalless periods came the cold shower that lowered Sweden.

The last period had barely begun when Rickard Rakell lost the puck on the offensive blue.

Belarus turned the game around and after a number of passes within the team, Mihail Stefanovich finally found German Nesterov who was able to send 1-0 to Belarus relatively unthreatened.

Tre Kronor made an attempt to increase the tempo and also created the team's best goal chance when they pulled a shot in the crossbar.

In the last minutes, the Swedish pressure on Belarus' goal was enormous and the Belarusians did nothing but defend themselves.

With 2.30 left, Adam Reodeborn left the goal.

But even with an extra outside player, Sweden did not manage to get a hole in Belarus.

Sweden fell 0-1 and has thus started the World Cup with two straight losses.
