This Manchester United - Fulham (1-1), Tuesday evening, marked the return of the public to the Premier League stadiums.

It was in front of some 10,000 people gathered at Old Trafford that Paul Pogba showed his support for the Palestinians by circling the field with their flag after the match.

The French international was accompanied by his Ivorian teammate Amad Diallo.

Each player was holding an upper corner of the flag and applauding towards the stands.

A precedent after the Cup final

On Saturday, after Leicester's FA Cup victory against Chelsea at Wembley (1-0), the French defender of the Foxes, Wesley Fofana, and his midfielder, the Englishman Hamza Choudhury, also sported the Palestinian flag.

The demonstrations of support come as a new round of violence has erupted between Israel and groups in Gaza.
