French national football team star Paul Pogba received millions of likes due to his religious posts during the holy month of Ramadan, the most recent of which was a post in which he commented on the decision to suspend him for 4 years, which means the end of his football career.

The Italian Anti-Doping Court ruled - at the end of last month - to ban Pogba (30 years old), the Italian Juventus midfielder, for 4 years due to taking the banned testosterone hormone last August, which is the maximum penalty.

In a post on his Instagram account, the Muslim player Pogba said, “I have never learned and grown so much in one year. The tests that God has destined are inevitable, and it is easy to look only at the bad aspects, but whatever it is. Praise be to God.”

The former Manchester United star added, “Thank God for the good times, the bad times, the difficult times and the easy times,” in a clear indication of the long suspension.

Pogba - who missed most of the 2022-2023 season and only played 10 matches due to injuries - failed the doping test he underwent after the match between Juventus and its host Udinese this season in Serie A, in which he has not participated since August 20.

Although he remained on the bench and did not participate in the match, he was one of those randomly selected to undergo the test.

To justify this violation, those close to the player stated that the testosterone comes from a nutritional supplement prescribed by a doctor he consulted in the United States.

Pogba announced on Instagram that he would “appeal” against the suspension decision before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TASS).

Pogba received great support from football fans, who wrote more than 50,000 comments to him in addition to more than two million likes, and the number of likes doubled at the beginning of the month of Ramadan on a simple post in which he wrote “Ramadan Kareem” with a picture of him in the Sacred Mosque, as he is always keen to Performing Umrah.
