A meeting between the IOC = International Olympic Committee and IPC = International Paralympic Committee, as well as the Organizing Committee and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and representatives of the government will be held on the 3rd of this month (March). We have agreed to reach a conclusion later this month.

Regarding spectators from overseas, there is a growing view that it is difficult to accept due to the unpredictable effects of the mutated virus and the infection situation in Japan and overseas, and at the meeting on the 20th, spectators from overseas were accepted. It is expected that the policy of forgoing it will be announced and a conclusion will be reached as to whether or not it will be accepted.
