Three months after the ordeal experienced by a young 18-year-old referee in the Paris region, the Val-d'Oise disciplinary commission has just handed down its verdict.

But before giving them to you in detail, let's dive back into this affair that had shamed amateur football.

On October 11, while refereeing a 3rd division match in the U18 category between JS Pontoisienne and FC Ecouen, Nada Benmerieme was violently attacked during the match.

In addition to ignominious sexist insults, it had received a nudge in the jaw before taking refuge in the locker room to protect itself from the madness of some players, leaders and supporters of JS Pontoisienne.

The match, interrupted in the 75th minute, had never ended.

The disciplinary committee sanctions with a shovel

The verdict now.

The disciplinary commission of Val-d'Oise imposed a six-year ban on playing the perpetrator who, incidentally, did not even have an official license at the time of the facts.

He was found guilty of "an act of brutality towards officials, discriminatory and sexist remarks, identity fraud and aggravating circumstance".

According to the blog "Arbitrate", which had publicized the case at the end of last year, the coach of the JSP has meanwhile received a three-year suspension for "fraud on identity, invasion of the field twice , refusal to leave the field, attempted blow against an official during the game and threatening behavior towards the official ”.

Another Pontoisian leader received an 18-month suspension for threat during and after the match, intimidating behavior and discriminatory comments.

In addition, the president of the JSP, whom we had contacted at the time of the facts and who promised heavy sanctions to his colleagues, was not spared by the disciplinary committee: he is suspended six months in his capacity as manager.

A delegate from Ecouen took three games of suspension for "non-assistance to official during and after the meeting".

A leader of another club, FC Franconville, was also sanctioned (18 games of suspension) for having written insulting and infamous remarks against Nada Benmerieme on social networks.

Finally, the U18 team of JS Pontoisienne is purely and simply excluded from all competitions for the 2021-2022 season.

All these sanctions have been confirmed by the Val d'Oise district to our colleagues from RMC Sport.
