Like the rest of the Swedes, she has not been to any of the last two World Cup weekends.

The Swedish national team was only present at the World Cup premiere in Ruka before, just like Norway, they dropped out and referred for medical reasons.

While the Norwegians continue to stay at home, the Swedes are now back in the international ski circus.

- We have found safe solutions so that we can be out and compete internationally.

Solutions that had not really been found when it was time to make a decision about Davos and Dresden, says Ebba Andersson.

- Even though the situation is as it is with covid-19, I still feel a sense of security when we go out and compete now.

The Swedes can be considered two of the favorites for the overall victory.

"It's a little boring"

- I think we are many Swedish girls who will be involved and fight at the top.

But it's a little sad that there are no Norwegians competing.

At the same time, we can not compete against someone who is not there.

So you really only have to focus on beating those who pull on the start numbers and are there, says Frida Karlsson.

- I think there are very many who will want to get involved in that battle.

It is mainly the girls in our team.

But what has been seen now at the vc competitions where we have not participated, there are many who have really shown their front feet both from the Russian side, American and most recently it was a Swiss girl who was very strong, says Ebba Andersson.

The Tour de Ski starts a little later than usual with a sprint in the Swiss Val Müstair on New Year's Day.
