Jenny Damgaard was as surprised as the rest of football Sweden when the news came and has not really had the opportunity to form a finished opinion.

- It is difficult to say, but it says somewhere that they made the decision already on December 17th and that the players found out today, you have to wait for more information, she says.

When it comes to possible player acquisitions, Jenny Damgaard sends the ball on to sports director Therese Sjögran.

- We had no idea so we are as shocked as everyone else.

We still have some space to recruit.

But I think it's terribly boring for Swedish women's football.

It is one of the best clubs in the league, they played the Champions League and would play there next year also very boring for the league and Swedish football.

I suffer with players and leaders, says Sjögran to SVT Sport.

When asked how Rosengård is progressing now, the sports director has no answer.

- Of course there are players who are interesting and I think we have to act quite quickly, but it is not just quality but it is also an economic issue of course.

Vittsjö wants to help

Erika Nilsson, club manager in Vittsjö GIK, received a small message this morning about keeping her eyes open but did not believe in her wildest imagination that this would be the case.

- I really want to point out how incredibly sad for Swedish women's football it is that this is happening, she says to SVT Sport.

- We know how incredibly tough it has been financially this past season and we got help ourselves from sponsors who saved us.

Like Rosengård, Vittsjö is not ready with its recruitments.

- We have not finished recruiting yet so we will see what we can do to help both us and the players who now end up without a club.

We have already started the work.
