Takuya Kai, a catcher who won the Best Nine and Golden Glove Awards at the Professional Baseball Softbank this season, has renewed his contract with an estimated annual salary of 165 million yen, an increase of 55 million yen.

Kai, who has been in training for 10 years, supported the team as a cornerstone of defense by leading the pitchers who marked the only two-point ERA of the 12 teams this season.

He contributed to the league championship and the best in Japan, and was selected for the second best nine in three years and the fourth golden glove award for four consecutive years.

Kai negotiated a contract at the baseball team office in Fukuoka City on the 25th, and renewed the contract for next season with an estimated annual salary of 165 million yen, an increase of 55 million yen.

Kai recalled this season, saying, "It was a difficult year as a catcher, but above all, I'm glad that the team won the league and became the best in Japan."

On the other hand, he raised the batting average of 20%, 1 minute and 1 batting this season as an issue, and said, "I received a great evaluation from the team on the defensive side, but I think I have to seek results on the batting side." I vowed to improve my strength.
