Svenska Spel stopped betting on Björklöven – Mora yesterday, after strange odds movements.

The match is now being investigated by both the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and Svenska Spel, and the police have been informed.

The hockey allsvenskan's main sponsor, the betting company Unibet, also noticed the strange odds movements in the market and stopped the opportunity to bet on the match.

But unlike Svenska Spel, it was only a temporary stop with them.

- We have a safety mechanism, and saw that another company had odds that differed greatly from the others and how it should be.

So we stopped the game temporarily in the first period break to see how it was.

But we checked it out and came to the conclusion that it was the second odds that was not reasonable, so then we opened up the match for games and had it open after that, says Unibet's Sweden manager Per Carlander to SVT Sport, and continues:

- After this that happened yesterday, we have looked more closely at the games that have been with us, and without going into details, we see nothing deviating.

"Do not be logical"

The deviating odds on one of the gaming companies affected large parts of the giant gaming market.

- When it comes to ice hockey, there are maybe three, four, five companies that set their own odds, while there are about 50 who look at these companies and follow.

If one of the big ones then changes his odds, it may be that many follow, and in this case it is clear that this is what happened.

And the odds they offered were not logical, says Per Carlander.

"Investing very much"

As the main sponsor of the hockey allsvenskan, Unibet has a lot of contact with Björklöven and the others in the league and has therefore discussed what happened with the main characters in the league.

Per Carlander says that they take the issue seriously.

- We invest a lot in these parts with match fixing.

We have just completed a training with all players and leaders in the hockey allsvenskan about what applies, and explained what you can do and what you are not allowed to do and who to turn to if something happens, he says, and adds:

- In addition, we have introduced "integrity officers" in all clubs, which are the first to be contacted.

We have routines around this, and good contact with the authorities and the hockey allsvenskan and the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, which also has routines for how they investigate.

It is important.
