The male ski jumpers have 16 scheduled competitions in the World Cup in the near future - but the ladies have only one.

Several of the jumpers are furious at Fi's priorities.

Reigning Olympic and World Cup gold medalist Maren Lundby sharply criticizes Fis, the international ski federation, and their priorities.

She is supported by the Swede Astrid Norstedt.

- This is something I am very upset about.

I think it's absolutely awful, says the 19-year-old talent Norstedt to SVT Sport.

"It's about market value"

SVT Sport has been in contact with Sandro Pertile, competition manager for ski jumping at Fis.

- According to TV and sponsorship agreements, men and women have different values.

It's about market value, says Pertile and continues:

- Unfortunately, the current level of income for arranging a women's competition is not sufficient to cover all costs for the event.

This is one of the reasons why not many people want to arrange a competition.

There are higher incomes at male competitions, so it is easier to find organizers.

Pertile also says that Chika Yoshida, competition director for women's ski jumping at Fis, has been looking for organizers all over the world but has not been able to find one.
