Elin Eldebrink is currently in Crete with the Swedish national team recharging before the European Championship qualifier against Israel on Saturday.
It's just about exercising, sitting on the bus and being at the hotel due to covid-19.
- We can only be at the hotel and on the bus and not have any contact with people outside the team.
It takes an hour to the training facility.
It feels hard not to be able to go out but it has rained a bit so it makes it easier, says Elin Eldebrink and laughs.
Strict restrictions in France
Everyday, the national team star plays in French Tango Bourges.
The restrictions are tough even there and the league has had many cases of covid-19.
- We have only played two of eight matches this season.
A huge number of matches have been postponed and canceled due to corona falls.
Everything is very different, says Elin Eldebrink to SVT Sport.
- There are very strict rules in France in the sport, it also provides security and safety.
We are tested twice a week.
Every Monday to see if you can play this week's match.
Then a second test in addition to that.
"Difficult to find motivation"
Have you had players on the team who have been affected by covid-19?
- Yes, my team has had three girls who became ill.
They have recovered and everyone in the squad is healthy now.
Have you made it?
- I've made it.
Is it difficult to tag and upload before the match when you do not know if something will happen?
- It's upside down.
You train to play a match and really want to play.
It is difficult to find the motivation every day if you do not know if you will be allowed to play a match.
But it is important to have a positive attitude and push each other and continue working, says Elin Eldebrink.
