First big test for hotheads

The weather is good at the moment but conditions should get tougher quickly, especially for those who have opted for a westward route.

This is the case of Armel Tripon, Thomas Rettant and Louis Burton, whose cars are the most westerly in the fleet.

We are still talking about winds of 35 to 40 knots and nice troughs of 5 meters, a real test for the daredevils who have chosen this trajectory.

On the other hand, it should be relatively less rock'n'roll for the skippers who preferred to head south and negotiate the passage of Cape Finisterre between the Iberian coast and the zone prohibited to navigation (DST).

Among them, Jérémie Beyou, Jean Le Cam and Nicolas Troussel, respectively first, second and fifth at the last score at 9 am.

The hook plays tricks on Boissières

After Fabric Amedo, forced to turn back just a few hours after the start of the race and which should leave Les Sables d'Olonne on Wednesday evening), it is Arnaud Boissières' turn to have a hook problem, the system that allows you to hoist a sail and keep it blocked.

The skipper thinks about all the possible and imaginable solutions, without excluding having to climb to the top of the mast himself to solve the problem.

At least the view from up there must be stunning.
