Météo-France has lifted the alerts for violent wind or rain-flooding for Friday which disrupted the circulation of certain trains on Thursday, but an orange alert for floods remains in Deux-Sèvres, Vendée and Seine-et-Marne.

Orange vigilance for floods in Vendée concerns the Lay and the Sèvre Niortaise.

Météo-France lifted vigilance for Friday for violent wind or rain-flood which disrupted the circulation of certain trains on Thursday, but an orange vigilance for floods remains in Deux-Sèvres, in Vendée and Seine-et-Marne, according to its bulletin broadcast Thursday.

Orange vigilance for floods in Vendée concerns the Lay and the Sèvre Niortaise.

In Deux-Sèvres, it also concerns the Sèvre Niortaise.

In Seine-et-Marne, the flood is targeting the Grand Morin. 

Friday morning, the weather will be choppy from the English Channel and the Belgian border to Auvergne and the west of the Pyrenees.

Under very cloudy skies, rain or showers will be numerous, locally stormy near the coasts, giving snow from 700 to 800 m altitude in the Massif Central and the Pyrenees.

The west to southwest wind will blow in gusts of up to 60 to 70 km/h inland, 80 to 90 km/h locally, 100 km/h near the Channel and Atlantic coasts.

On the other hand, from the east of Lorraine and Alsace to PACA and the east of the Pyrenees, the morning will be calm and sunny, although with a little west wind up to 60 to 70 km/h near the Mediterranean.

Conversely, Corsica will be under clouds and showers.

Showers across the country

In the afternoon, except for the Mediterranean arc where showers will be rare, the entire country including Corsica will be affected by showers.

From Brittany and the Pays de Loire to the Hauts de France, showers will remain frequent, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, sleet or even snowflakes, and wind gusts of up to 70 km/h inland, 90 km /h near the coast.

From Vendée and New Aquitaine to the west of Auvergne, sometimes stormy showers will follow one another and will result in significant accumulations.

The westerly wind will remain strong, with gusts of up to 60 to 80 km/h inland, 80 to 90 km/h, or even 100 km/h near the coasts.

In the Pyrenees, stormy showers will be more sporadic.

The rain-snow limit will be around 800 to 1,000 m.

Minimum temperatures will drop between 1 and 6 degrees in general, locally 0 degrees from the Massif Central to the Alps.

During the day, the maximums will be between 7 and 12 degrees in most regions, they will range from 10 to 15 degrees near the Mediterranean, 13 to 18 in Corsica.
