Alexandersson finished tenth in the fourth and final stage, while Johanna Åström and Fanny Borgström finished in fourth and seventh place respectively.

After the victory in the first stage, Alexandersson has had a podium place within reach and she was second before the decision.

But when the competition is now summed up, it is with a fourth place for the Swede, almost 20 minutes behind the victorious Maude Mathys from Switzerland.

Johanna Åström was fifth overall, Borgström eight and three Swedes thus finished in the top 10 in the competition where the runners, without a map and compass, will get through in rugged tough terrain with huge climbs.

The competition is conducted under strict health protocols. Among other things, participants must save blood, urine and saliva samples from 30 days before the competition to 15 days after.
