Solberg led his class 4.9 seconds ahead of Jari Huttunen, Finland, with just over 12 kilometers left.

The 19-year-old started quickly to the first intermediate time but then stopped on the stretch.

The team reports that both Oliver and map reader Aaron Johnston are OK and that they tried to restart the car.

The car will now be serviced and it is unclear at the time of writing whether Solberg can restart tomorrow.

It was otherwise a strong day for Solberg, although not without problems.

Solberg went out in the lead this morning and watched it initially, but on today's third leg SS9 he lost just over 57 seconds due to a puncture.

But Solberg bounced back immediately with double distance victories and regained his leading position.

The effort on section 10 stands out - Solberg then had seventh time in total, faster than Pierre-Louis Loubet in the WRC class and only ten seconds slower than World Cup leader Elfyn Evans.

- Extremely sad for Oliver that he stops on the last leg after an otherwise strong day.

He showed proof of a nice tempo change and skill in getting back into the rally after the puncture.

Very sad with the stop on the last stretch but most important is that the driver and map reader are OK, says Jonas Kruse and adds:

- At these speeds, the balance between super success and a detour is fine, which is also an experience for the development account.

After Solberg's stop, Jari Huttunen now leads the WRC3 class, just over ten seconds ahead of Kajetan Kajetanowicz, Poland.
