The Bucks have decided not to appear in Game 5 of the series against Orlando, in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, in protest against the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin, Milwaukee state. The Orlando players came to jump onto the court, but returned to the locker room due to the unexpected situation they encountered.

Bucks guard George Hill was one of the NBA players who questioned whether the competition should continue, after the continuous protests for social justice in the country.

Only the Magic jumped onto the court for the pregame warm-up, while the Bucks remained in the locker room. Minutes before the scheduled time for the start of the game, the Orlando players left the court and returned to their locker room.
