Hopes have been dwindling that sports activity in the United States will soon return to its former life due to the emergence of new cases of the virus Covid-19 in more than one area, which caused the closure of a number of sports facilities.

On Friday, the Professional Golfers Association announced the infection of American player Nick Watney, the first confirmed injury for the association, to exclude Watney from the RBC Heritage in South Carolina before the start of the second round.

The association started its activity only last week after a three-month hiatus due to the emergence of infection around the world.

In only 24 hours, cases of HIV infection were confirmed in the ranks of football, baseball, American football and ice hockey, while these sports were considering the possibility of resuming their activities again after the long pause imposed by the health crisis.

These sports conduct extensive tests on their players, even those who have no symptoms.

These developments have come to fruition after prominent American medical official Doctor Anthony Fauci on Thursday questioned the possibility of a return to NFL matches this season.

The leagues of the NBA and the Football League are particularly concerned with these developments after most cases surfaced in the state of Florida, where the two championships announced plans to resume their activities in the state of Orlando.

Football League matches are scheduled to resume on July 8 in the form of a World Cup Finals course that includes all 26 clubs.
