Spanish Health Minister Salvador Ella said fans may have to wait longer before returning

Football competitions again, due to the continuing crisis of the outbreak of the newly created Corona virus (Covid 19).

The Spanish Football Confederation, the Spanish League and the Spanish Sports Council are working on a plan to resume football matches that have been suspended since the beginning of March, when the green light is obtained from the government.

According to the protocol presented by the Spanish League, every player is subjected to a coronavirus test, which could be a problem given that Spain does not have an abundance of test requirements.

"I cannot say now that it is possible to resume football competitions before the summer, I think it will be considered an unwise decision," the health minister told a news conference on Sunday.

"There are instructions from the Ministry of Health that apply to all groups of all kinds, including professional football. Any kind of diagnostic tests should be put at the disposal of regional governments," he added.

Spain has recorded about 23,000 deaths out of more than 220,000 HIV infections, and local authorities intend to ease restrictions on public closures as of May 2, after registering a decline in the frequency of infections and deaths.
