Celine Dion fans have reason to rejoice! Tuesday January 30, the Quebec diva, very discreet since the announcement of her illness and the cancellation of her tour, announced that she would soon return to the forefront with... a documentary! This film, entitled

I Am: Céline Dion

, will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video and will lift the veil on the daily struggle of the star, suffering from stiff man syndrome.

“The last few years have been a real challenge for me”

In December 2022, Celine Dion moved the whole world by explaining, in front of the camera, that she had lost control of her muscles. A year later, the singer feels ready to say more about her ordeal. “These last few years have been a real challenge for me, from discovering my illness to learning to live with it and manage it, without letting it define me,” she confides on Instagram.

Celine Dion wants to resume her career

Celine Dion hopes that her testimony will be useful. “I decided to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness about this little-known disease and to help those who share this diagnosis,” she explains. Celine's documentary, directed by Oscar-nominated American Irene Taylor, promises to take fans "into her past and present." It was filmed over a year, while Céline “prepared to live an open and authentic life despite the illness,” Prime Video said in a press release. While waiting for the release of her film, the diva will continue to fight to be able to get back on stage as quickly as possible. “As the path towards resuming my career as a singer continues, I realize how much I missed being able to see my fans,” assures Céline Dion, whose last appearance on stage dates back to 2020.
