Together with Ole Morten Iversen, Geir Endre Rogn has trained Norway's ski ladies for the past four years. But for family reasons, he is forced to leave the assignment.

- It's tough to let go of what was really a dream job, but the family goes above all. My wife is struggling with a serious illness and it is required that I be present in everyday life to create peace and stability for her and our two sons, says Geir Endre Rogn in a press release.

Last Christmas, his wife was told she would get a new pancreas. After the transplant, hospitalization and recovery await.

- It is an easy choice, to prioritize the family, says Geir Endre Rogn.

The Norwegian has, among other things, trained Therese Johaug, Heidi Weng and Maiken Caspersen Falla in recent years.

- First of all we lose a very good coach in Geir Endre. He has played a big role for me and the team in recent years. I thank you for everything he has done and wish him luck. We will miss Geir Endre both in the track and around the dining table, says Therese Johaug, who also has a private trainer in Pål Gunnar Mikkelsplass.
