The message from the Spanish Champions Club came on Tuesday.

Their classic home arena Camp Nou, with seating for 99,000 spectators, will be named something else next season. The club is now looking for a buyer for the arena name next season.

According to a statement, some of the proceeds from the name sale will go to the fight against Covid-19, while another will go to other parallel projects.

- We are in a global crisis with no equivalent in our modern history and we need to be bold and think about the obligation we have. It is important that the club uses all that is possible for the fight against the corona pandemic and its consequences, says the club's vice-chairman Jordi Cardoner.

More than 200,000 people have been infected by the corona virus in Spain and over 21,000 have died.
