The tournament would be the second of the four grand slam tournaments of the tennis year since the French championships have been postponed from May to September.
The All England Tennis Club (AELTC) writes in a statement that both postponing the tournament and setting it up are among the options.
Wimbledon will start on June 29, according to the original tournament schedule. The remaining Grand Slam tournament of the year, US Open, is scheduled to be played August 31-September 13.
Novak Djokovic, Serbia, and Sofia Kenin, USA, took home the singles titles in the Australian Open, the first grand slam tournament of the year, which was decided at the end of January-February.
