Something is wrong here: In the semi-finals of the tennis masters tournament in Indian Wells, the tennis rackets are suddenly no longer used for serves and volleys - but to ward off bees.

The two players flee.

Carlos Alcaraz, tennis player:

»As we walked off the court, we looked at the bees on the screen over there.

We had to laugh at the “bee invasion” superimposition.

I thought that was funny.”

The sudden insect invasion causes confusion for everyone involved in the match between Olympic champion Alexander Zverev and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz.

In the TV broadcast you can see how countless bees settle on a cable camera - from all perspectives.

The game is interrupted.

After a two-hour delay, the game continues, and in the end Alcaraz wins.

The hero of the day, however, was someone else: beekeeper Lance Davis, who was called to help.

The professional calmly removed the swarm of bees with a vacuum cleaner - and was celebrated by the stadium audience.
