La Roma will deliver food and sanitary devices to protect all its subscribers over the age of 75 from coronavirus starting this Friday, according to the charity foundation of the club in the Italian capital.

"Starting this Friday, Rome will begin distributing essential goods to all its subscribers over the age of 75, who will receive at home a box with food and useful sanitary devices to protect themselves in this emergency period by COVID-19 " , read the statement released by the Italian club.

The foundation of the Roman team, Roma Cares, will thus take care of its older subscribers, the category that is most endangered by the spread of the coronavirus , which has already caused more than 6,800 deaths and more than 69,000 infected in Italy.

This initiative is in addition to a long series of donations recently made by the Italian soccer world, with clubs such as Juventus, Inter Milan, Milan and Naples that also gave their contribution.

In addition, several footballers were in charge of personally promoting fundraisers to combat the coronavirus, such as the Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic , of Milan, Lorenzo Insigne , of Naples, or Federico Bernardeschi , of Juventus.
