Handball European Championships are also running in the Malmö arena. Handball supporters from the Danish capital have a twenty-minute short train ride across the Öresund Bridge to wait to see their national team.

- Double home teams are always an advantage, says Handball Association's Frank Ström to SVT Sport.

When the group play was drawn in the summer, ticket sales started, the Danish supporters were the ones who came first.

- It really started with Denmark winning the World Cup at home last year, when it was clear that the Danes would play in Malmö, many tickets were sold quickly, explains Daniel Oelker local venue manager for the European Championships.

Great ticket pressure

The organization expects to sell about 60,000 of the 70,000 tickets available in Malmö. That's twice as many as budgeted for.

If Sweden and Denmark move on to the middle round, it will be Öresundsderby in the arena. Some tickets are already sold, but there are some left.

- The Danes are a little faster than the Swedes. But it is still possible to buy a ticket, says Frank Ström.

During the group play, Russia also houses Russia, Hungary and Iceland in Malmö. Interest in tickets has also been great from Icelandic fans. During Iceland's rallying win against Denmark, the Icelandic supporters were about 1000 in number.

- It calls us every day and asks if there are tickets left, says Daniel Oelker.
