Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a six-month contract with AC Milan, with the possibility of extending for another year, said the Italian club on Friday where the Swedish striker had already played two seasons between 2010 and 2012.

The club "has concluded an agreement (...) with player Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker has agreed with the club (...) to play until the end of the current season with the possibility of extending (his contract, editor's note) to the successive season ", indicates AC Milan in a press release.

On its twitter account, the Italian team posted an enigmatic message to confirm the arrival of this experienced attacker, with the words "IZ coming" showing the initials of the Swedish veteran.

The Rossoneri, struggling since the start of the season, suffered their worst defeat in 21 years last weekend, losing 5-0 to Atalanta, and currently occupy eleventh place in Serie A. Ibrahimovic played two seasons at AC Milan between 2010 and 2012. The Swede had scored 42 goals in 61 games, contributing significantly to the last title won by the Italian club at the end of the 2010-2011 season.

An already very rich track record

During his long career, he notably wore the colors of Paris Saint Germain, with which he signed up in 2012 for three seasons. He will finally make a fourth, in 2015-2016, at the end of which he will finish top scorer in the French championship and win, for the third time, the title of best player in Ligue 1.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic completed his contract in November with the Los Angeles Galaxy franchise, which plays in the North American professional championship. His two seasons across the Atlantic reassured him about his form and his ability to be decisive. "Lions do not recover like humans," he said, with his famous sense of repartee.

At the age when most players are on the decline, the Malmö native is trying to stretch an already very rich story (Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG, Manchester United) where he has almost everything won - except the Champions League -, to offer a way out that matches his talent.

Like Zlatan before him, Thierry Henry and David Beckham returned to Europe, at the end of their career, after an exile in the United States, but without regaining their luster of yesteryear. Succeeding where these stars have failed is a challenge to the size of the Swede.
