It has been rumored for a long time and yesterday, Sky Sports stated that Zlatan was ready for Milan. Now the classic Italian club has confirmed the transition to its twitter with a cryptic message.

The contract, which according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport is worth just over SEK 36.5 million, extends the season but may be extended for one year.

Ibrahimovic played with Milan between 2010 and 2012 and most recently came from the LA Galaxy in the USA.

A big club on the decline

During the Christmas and New Year's break, Milan is in eleventh place in Serie A with 21 points in 17 matches. Milan rivals Inter are just as many points ahead of Milan in the table.

The club has not played in the Champions League since 2014 and this year Milan did not even make it to the Europa League, the second most prestigious club team tournament in Europe, after a fifth place in Serie A last season.

"IBra" scored 42 goals for Milan in two seasons, the club's best scorer in the 2010s, according to ESPN.
