With a day to start in the Tour de Ski, the news is that Finnish cross-country skiing star Krista Pärmäkoski will miss the tour.

Pärmäkoski has been successful in the Tour de Ski in the past. She has been four three times, was second in 2016/2017 and also stepped up last year on the podium with a third place.

- The body does not feel quite a hundred and it was a difficult decision but it was the only right thing. She was at the stadium today and tested but it did not feel quite a hundred. It is, of course, very boring, says Soili Hirvonen to SVT Sport.

FIS writes that Krista Pärmäkoski will not be replaced.

Finland's squad now consists of three skiers - Anne Kyllönen, Kerttu Niskanen and Vilma Nissinen.
