The Football Association has taken the first steps to revitalize beach football, after a four-year hiatus, due to the freezing of clubs by the club. This was confirmed by the President of the Football Association, Marwan bin Ghalita, in a press statement on the sidelines of the conclusion of the Confederations Cup for beach soccer the day before yesterday.

"We have sent them to the clubs and sports councils, inviting them to participate in the local activities we are organizing," Ghalita said. "We will also open the door for private companies and institutions to be part of a strong league that serves the national team."

He added: «We have succeeded in providing a sponsor of the local competition, and now it is the role of clubs to reach out to the Football Federation to revive the activity of beach ball, especially as we have the capabilities that help us to organize local competitions at a high level of the existence of beaches with high specifications throughout the country».

"I am confident that the sports councils will not be delayed in any work that supports this work, and I would like to thank the Dubai Sports Council for all what it has done in the past years for beach football, especially organizing a world championship like the Confederations Cup.

Bin Ghalita denied that the Football Association was behind the freeze of beach activity in previous years, saying: «Clubs are frozen activity, and we can not organize a competition without the clubs participating in it».

It is noteworthy that the national team, provided a distinguished level in the world championship, and won the bronze medal after defeating the Russian team.

Goalkeeper Mohamed Al Jasmi, meanwhile, said he planned to win the title of best Confederations Cup goalkeeper since the tournament began, with diligence in training and making every effort in official matches.

"Since the beginning of the tournament, I concentrated my efforts on getting the best goalkeeper trophy," he told Emirates Today. "I think I deserve this kindness for all the games I have played, not just Iran in the semi-finals." Al Jasmi was honored with the title at the end of the tournament by Dubai Sports Council Vice Chairman Mattar Al Tayer.

Al Jassmi added: “All the players entered the Confederations Cup with a strong desire to shine and compete for the title.
