Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, received at his palace yesterday evening the stars and leaders of the eight teams participating in the Abu Dhabi T20 Cricket Tournament, which starts tomorrow at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, under the supervision of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and organized by the Abu Dhabi Cricket Club.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said in a press statement that he was pleased to meet the stars of the participating teams in the Abu Dhabi T20, which represents a valuable global sporting initiative where everyone in the UAE meets in the Year of Tolerance to re-establish the images and scenes of coexistence, peace and harmony. Meet all the people of the world through sporting events held in Abu Dhabi.

He added that the UAE's success in attracting the world's leading cricket clubs is a testament to Abu Dhabi's leading position in the world in hosting and organizing sports tournaments and events at the highest levels, noting that the interest of cricket stars and their legends to attend and compete in the UAE. In itself, it is an affirmation of the level of the event and its prestige, and its large masses, and supports the great successes recorded by previous tournaments, to serve the development plans of the game, and enhance its presence in the local sports scene, continental and international.

He wished the leaders of the participating teams success in their anticipated participation in the «Abu Dhabi» Cricket, and welcome all teams participating in the event, which is held in conjunction with «Year of Tolerance». The meeting was attended by Dr Tayeb Al Kamali, Abu Dhabi Council Secretary General Aref Al Awani and other dignitaries.
