A Helsingborg without several leading players unexpectedly departed from the Swedish Cup on Thursday.

Coach Henrik Larsson put a young team on his feet against the Division 1 south team Oskarshamn. Team captain Andreas Granqvist was not even on the bench.

It would prove to be a wrong move from the HIF coach.

Charlie Weberg gave the visitors the lead 39 minutes into the match to make it 0 - 1. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Oskarshamn acknowledged through Erik Persson in the 69th and when they then got a penalty with five minutes left Christopher Christensson stepped up and made the decisive 2-1. Thus, Helsingborg is knocked out of the cup.
