It could have started better for Alex Norén at the European golf tournament in Mölndal south of Gothenburg. Three bogeys and a double bogey made it to the 37-year-old, who is a total of ten strokes behind leader Wade Ormsby from Australia.

- It was a little tough with too many bad blows. I think I had a lot of chances in the end and was better last nine. But overall it was not good. I am still hopeful and will train a bit on the rank so we will see what happens, he says.

Norén, who has won the competition twice before, thought he had a lot of rashes that did not go his way, and therefore felt that shortly after spending five hours on the golf course he needed to practice further.

When asked if the putts worked, he realized that perhaps more training was needed.

- That wheat fuck ... Maybe that too. I don't really get it. The short putts are good, the long putts are okay but I don't really get in those from four, five meters. I might get some exercise in that too, he says.

You've been with before - do you feel any concern?

- I know what needs to be done. Sure it would have been more fun to shoot well today, but this is golf. You play many rounds and know what it is that doesn't flap. Then you just try to fix it.

Norén has a heavier season behind him on the PGA Tour and missed out on qualifying for the money-laden Fedex playoffs, whereupon he agreed to games in Gothenburg.
