Israeli Army Radio announced that the army withdrew the Paratroopers Brigade from the Gaza Strip, and replaced it with other forces, while the Al-Qassam Brigades controlled the battles in the Zaytoun neighborhood, and expected losses to the occupation.

Neither the radio nor the army provided details regarding the number and equipment of the Paratroopers Brigade, whose departure from Gaza preceded the withdrawal of other forces.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army said that its soldiers were continuing military operations in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip, and had destroyed tunnel openings and found many weapons, he said.

The army added that it had spotted 3 gunmen directing drones, indicating that it had killed them with a drone.

The Israeli army stated that its forces were continuing their operations in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and that they had destroyed what it described as the infrastructure there.

Occupation losses

On the other hand, a leading source in the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - said that Al-Qassam is managing the battle in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood with all strength and ability, and expects heavy losses in the occupation army’s vehicles, officers and soldiers.

The leading source added that the battle in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood was expected according to information and intelligence documents, and Al-Qassam was able to control it from the occupation army.

He said that the analysis of the documents they obtained enabled the Al-Qassam Brigades to determine the expected goals and paths of the new occupation operation in the Zaytoun neighborhood.

The leading source in Al-Qassam confirmed that the occupation’s losses in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood are heavy, and that the battle is still ongoing behind and on the contact line with it.
