The occupation army admitted the killing of a company commander with the rank of major in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati ​​Brigade during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip today, Saturday, bringing the announced number of its officers and soldiers killed to 577 since the Al-Aqsa flood on October 7th.

The army said that its operation in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City was continuing, and that it had killed dozens of militants in direct clashes, and a drone had also targeted what it said were militants who were trying to launch an anti-tank missile at an Israeli force.

According to the latest data, the Israeli army has lost 238 of its officers and soldiers since the start of its ground attack on the Gaza Strip on October 27.

The announced number of his wounded - since the Al-Aqsa flood - reached nearly 3,000 wounded, including 1,397 since the start of the ground attack, after announcing the injury of 7 officers and soldiers during the battles in the Gaza Strip the day before yesterday, Thursday.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu renewed talk of his determination to achieve the war goals through "a combination of military pressure and firm negotiations."

At the same time, Israeli Defense Forces Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy said that "the combat effort in Gaza is the most effective factor in negotiations for the release of the abductees."

For his part, Israeli Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu called on the international community to "accommodate the residents of Gaza" and called for the restoration of settlement in the Strip. He was the same one who had stated last November that a nuclear bomb could be dropped on Gaza.

Resistance operations

On the other hand, the Palestinian resistance today announced a series of operations against the occupation forces in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, as well as east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that its fighters sniped an Israeli officer with a Ghoul rifle south of the Zaytoun neighborhood.

It indicated that its sniper force has carried out 57 missions since the start of the war, including 34 with the Ghoul Qassam rifle.

Al-Qassam also announced the destruction of an Israeli troop carrier with a shock device south of the Zaytoun neighborhood, killing and wounding its crew before they were evacuated by helicopters.

Al-Qassam fighters also targeted a Merkava tank with a Tandom shell in the same area.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that its fighters targeted an Israeli bulldozer with a lightning device, and a Merkava tank with a Tandom shell, and eliminated its crew in Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.

The Al-Quds Brigades had previously said that they had bombed gatherings of Israeli vehicles and soldiers in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood with mortar shells.

It broadcast scenes that it said were of missile launches that bombed Israeli military concentrations in the front lines south of Gaza City.

Since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, Israel has launched a devastating war on Gaza that has led to the death of more than 29,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 69,000 others, according to data from the Palestinian authorities, and most of the victims are children and women.
