Paris, June 6 (China News Network) -- On June 10, local time, the Chinese Embassy in France held a seminar on Sino-French film cooperation. Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye, former French Minister of Francophonie Bengigi and LVMH Secretary-General Jammeh attended the event and delivered speeches.

Lu Shaye said in his speech that film has always been a key area of people-to-people exchanges between China and France. For more than 60 years, filmmakers from the two countries have contributed many excellent works through the cooperation of the whole industry chain system. During President Macron's visit to China, China and France issued a joint statement to draw a blueprint for the future development of the film industries of the two countries. It can be said that the vigorous development of Sino-French film cooperation is a vivid portrayal of the deepening of relations between the two countries. Jammeh and Bengigi stressed that film is an important carrier reflecting national culture and national thinking, and hoped that China and France will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of film and further enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples.

At the event, a preview of the documentary film "Pekingese, the Last Secret of Mankind" jointly produced by China Central Radio and Television Corporation, France National Television Group and France 10.7 Production Company and invested by LVMH Group was screened. In the post-screening discussion session, the film's director Marat introduced the details of the filming, "The Nightingale" director Mooyle shared good memories with the Chinese team, Confucius Institute student representative Kadri of Cité University shared his experience of watching the movie, and the participants offered suggestions for the co-production of Chinese and French films.

More than 170 French film and television and tourism professionals, including Francali, former Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Esano, Bilateral Relations Advisor of the French Film and Animation Center, Azoulay, founder of the Ecole Supérieure des Cinematographies de Paris, and famous directors Mouril and Marat attended the event.
