The ministry stressed that at the talks between the Russian delegation and the Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Greenspan, issues related to the solution of five problems within the framework of the grain deal were discussed.

These included the reconnection of Rosselkhozbank to the SWIFT system, the resumption of supplies of spare parts and equipment, transport logistics and insurance, the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline and the unblocking of the "frozen" assets of companies from Russia.

"On the Russian side, there was a lack of progress on three of these five tasks (ammonia pipeline, reconnection to SWIFT and spare parts). Progress on these tracks, in fact, is completely blocked by Western capitals," the statement said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said that Moscow has not changed the negative assessment of the implementation of the UN memorandum on the supply of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to the world market.

He also said that Ukraine puts forward various kinds of requirements for the implementation of the grain deal and thus has already brought the situation to a standstill.

At the same time, the problems associated with the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions with bank payments, transport logistics and insurance remain and worsen, Moscow noted.
