A special representative of the Chinese government visited Russia and Ukraine one after another and held discussions with senior officials from both countries regarding the situation in Ukraine.

This is a sign that China is willing to play a mediating role by leveraging its diplomatic relations with both parties.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 8th that Li Hui, the special representative in charge of Eurasia, met with Secretary of the Presidential Administration Yermak and others in Kiiv, the capital of Ukraine, on the 7th.



According to Secretary Yermak, these include: the stability of grain exports from Ukraine; the issue of Russia apparently procuring weapons from North Korea; and the peace plan proposed by Ukraine, including the ``withdrawal of Russian troops''. They discussed matters such as the restoration of Ukraine's territory and sovereignty based on the



China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the talks were "frank and friendly."

Prior to this, Special Representative Li met with Vice Foreign Minister Galuzin on the 2nd in Moscow, the capital of Russia.



According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia has taken the stance that it cannot accept Ukraine's peace plan, saying, ``There can be no discussion of a political or diplomatic solution without national security interests being taken into account.'' I showed it again.
