Cheng encouraged Hong Kong youths to come to the mainland to walk and see more, pay attention to and grasp the opportunities of national development, and also welcomed young people from the mainland, including Jilin, to Hong Kong through the "High-end Talent Pass Scheme" to exercise their skills and expand opportunities, so as to contribute to the development and prosperity of Hong Kong and the mainland.

Cheng Weiyuan introduced that the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has offices and liaison offices in the Mainland, and these institutions will often release various types of information related to the Mainland's economic and trade policies and information on facilitating Hong Kong people's life, education and business in the Mainland through various channels.

Cheng advised Hong Kong youth to better understand themselves. He explained that this includes not only understanding Hong Kong's strategic positioning and role in national development, that is, its role as a bridge between the motherland and the world, but also understanding one's own expertise and knowing what qualities and skills one needs to possess in the mainland to contribute to the development of the country.
