Örebro band Smash Into Pieces was formed in 2008 and had released seven studio albums before the big commercial breakthrough in Sweden followed with "Six feet under" and the final placement in Melodifestivalen.
– We have called and nagged Sweden Rock, but previously received the answer that we may not have been quite right for the festival. But now it finally happened, says guitarist Per Bergquist.
Frontman and singer Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye explains that the success of the SVT-broadcast music competition completely changed the band's everyday life.
"I can't even walk into the gas station without fans wanting to take pictures and talk.
During Sweden Rock, SVT exclusively followed the band during the premiere gig.
