Three people have been seriously injured and four others minor when a quad invaded the road and ran over customers who were on the terrace of a bar in the Plaza del Pueblo de Alcobendas. The event occurred around 19:30 p.m. when the vehicle was driving on the street and the driver, a 25-year-old man, lost control and ended up on the sidewalk to take ahead of the people who were sitting at the tables.

The Summa toilets have treated seven people in total. Three have been discharged at the scene and four others have been hospitalized. The most seriously injured is the 25-year-old who was driving the quad. He suffers severe head trauma. He has been intubated and transferred to La Paz Hospital.

Another 75-year-old man has also been treated with a potentially serious prognosis, with a broken shoulder and mild head trauma. In addition, a 36-year-old woman has suffered an open fracture in her left leg and probable pelvic fracture. She has been evacuated to the Ramón y Cajal Hospital.

A fourth person, a 48-year-old man with neck pain, has also been transferred by the Red Cross to the Infanta Sofia Hospital. The Local Police investigates what happened.
