• Politics Carrie Symonds, Boris Johnson's controversial wife accused of sowing discord in Downing Street

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (58) and his third wife, Carrie Johnson (35), are expecting their third baby together and the politician's eighth – at least officially – baby. This has been announced by Carrie herself, who has revealed that she is eight months pregnant.

"A new member of the team arrives in just a few weeks," Carrie Johnson, 35, wrote on Instagram, saying she had "felt pretty exhausted for much of the last 8 months."

"We can't wait to meet this baby," she added alongside a photo of her on her back with her two little ones, 3-year-old Wilfred and one-and-a-half-year-old Romy.

Johnson, 58, had four other children with his former wife Marina Wheeler: Lara, in 1993; Milo, in 1995; Cassia, in 1997, and Theodore, in 1999.

He was also Stephanie's father in 2009, when he was mayor of London, the result of an extramarital affair with art specialist Helen Macintyre, as revealed after a judge in 2013 allowed the press to disclose details about that affair.

When asked in the past how many children he has, the politician has sidestepped the issue. However, the British press speculates on at least one more fruit of their various relationships.

Boris Johnson has been the first British head of government in 250 years to marry during his tenure.

He and Carrie Symonds announced their engagement in February 2020 but their union was postponed to 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic, an illness that even made Johnson fear for his life, who was hospitalized in intensive care in April of that year.

Johnson stepped down as head of the British government in September 2022, pushed to resign by his own Conservative Party due to an accumulation of scandals.
