This was reported to TASS in the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

According to the ministry, the airline received permission from the aviation authorities of Georgia to operate flights with a frequency of seven flights a week.

"The carrier plans to start flights on May 19, 2023. They will be carried out on domestically produced aircraft," they said.

Earlier, the Georgian airline Georgian Airways received permission for air traffic with Russia and will start flying there from May 20.

Russian President Vladimir Putin abolished the visa regime for Georgian citizens from May 15.

Moscow explained that the decisions taken are in line with Russia's principled approach to consistently facilitating the conditions of communication and contacts between Russians and Georgians, despite the lack of diplomatic relations.
