Representatives of the eight main trade unions will be received at the Hôtel de Matignon on Wednesday 17 May. The format chosen by Matignon, and accepted by the unions, is that of bilateral meetings. The union leaders will be received in turn by Elisabeth Borne.

The invitation is finally transmitted. Late Friday afternoon, Matignon sent an official letter to the leaders of the interunion. In a letter, consulted by Europe 1, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne "invites to an interview" the union leaders on Wednesday 17 May.

The format chosen by Matignon, and accepted by the unions, is that of bilateral meetings. The union leaders will be received in turn by Elisabeth Borne. François Hommeril, president of the CFE-CGC, will meet with the head of government at 10:45 am. Then Cyril Chabanier, the boss of the CTFC, will succeed him at noon. Sophie Binet (CGT), Laurent Berger (CFDT), Frédéric Souillot (FO) and the other union leaders will also meet with the Prime Minister later today.

According to Elisabeth Borne's entourage, the agenda of discussions is open. The subject of pension reform can therefore be addressed.
