The police were alerted at 16.35 by SOS Alarm, which had received a call from a caller about a suspected dangerous object. At the scene, the patrol found a suspected dangerous object. Two men were also found at the scene and arrested.

An area of about 25-30 meters was cordoned off and the national boom guard was engaged.

"The object turned out to be sharp. It contained some kind of explosive charge, says police spokesperson Sophia Jiglind.

Defused object

After consulting with the bomb squad, the police were able to defuse the object.

A preliminary investigation into attempted public destruction and violation of the Flammable and Explosive Goods Act has been initiated.

No one was injured in the incident. Emergency services and an ambulance were also alerted to the scene.
