As previously reported, the field surgeon Evich, after giving a lecture on Sakhalin, was issued a protocol under Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of Russia (discrediting the Russian army). The hearing in the case is scheduled for April 18 in the Kozelsky District Court of the Kaluga Region.

"The protocol mentions a video file that someone shot, lasting 26 minutes and 35 seconds from a three-hour lecture. And there yury Yuryevich really criticizes what is happening... There were tough enough phrases, everything, of course, is censorship, "zimin said, adding that a denunciation was written against Evich.

He said that the basic course in tactical medicine was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, conducted by Yuri Evich and an instructor group of two people.

Zimin said that a lawyer specializing in these issues has already been invited to protect the surgeon.

"The lawyer said that the protocol itself and the statement were drawn up illiterately – the words were taken out of context. That's what I know. We will prove that a person first of all cares about the fate of the Motherland and the training of the Armed Forces, and secondly tries to discredit them in this way," Zimin said.

He noted that Yuri Evich received the "Person of the Year Z" award in the Kaluga region.

Earlier, the situation was commented on by the Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko, Deputy Prime Minister - Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far East Yuri Trutnev and Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha.

In particular, Limarenko expressed hope that the court will be able to make a fair decision regarding the surgeon Evich, and he will continue the important work for the country.

Trutnev said that he was ready to pay a fine instead of Evich if the court found him guilty of discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.
