China News Service, Lebanon, February 5th (Sun Qiuxia, Vejev Zengdele, Li Qingzhu) The 22nd batch of China’s peacekeeping medical detachment to Lebanon recently successfully completed a two-day remote training on "Appropriate Technology for Military Health Management" through the remote consultation system, further improving improve the health management service capabilities of medical staff.

  This training was jointly sponsored by the Health Management Professional Committee of the Medical Science and Technology Commission of the People's Liberation Army and the People's Liberation Army General Hospital. It focused on courses such as "Prevention of Running Training Injuries", "Common Skin Diseases and Their Prevention and Treatment" and "Common Positive Psychological Adjustment Skills" to highlight the new era. To meet the new needs of officers and soldiers' health management, we must improve appropriate technologies and service models in the field of health management, and continuously improve health management service capabilities and levels.

  At the training site, the medical team combined the current situation and actual tasks to conduct online consultations with teaching experts on issues such as white phosphorus bomb burns, common skin diseases, improving sleep, psychology and health, aiming to master more health guidance knowledge.

  In order to better fulfill its peacekeeping mission, the unit has actively participated in emergency blood therapy training, health officer and gender officer training organized by UNIFIL, and has passed the assessment with excellent results and obtained relevant certificates.

  “We have long been responsible for the medical support tasks for multinational United Nations peacekeepers in the eastern region of UNIFIL.” According to Xu Yongshi, a surgical surgeon of the medical team, “By actively learning various medical-related contents and constantly enriching our knowledge reserves, we can accurately grasp the medical treatment of UNIFIL. The differences in the process provide better service guarantee for UNIFIL officers and soldiers."

  It is understood that since its deployment to the Lebanese peacekeeping mission area in mid-December last year, the unit has strictly implemented the United Nations medical work system and continuously standardized daily registration, admissions, examinations, hospitalizations, surgeries and other procedures. It has treated a total of more than 400 patients. It has conducted more than 10 professional trainings of various types, organized 93 inspections of various types, and performed more than 10 surgeries of various types, winning recognition from friendly peacekeeping forces and local Lebanese people.
