Team leader Sofie Petersen works in a department where fuzes for grenades are manufactured.
In 2019, she changed her hairdressing job to the defense industry and Saab Dynamics in Karlskoga.
She is in production when needed.
When we meet her, she shows how the marking of grenades is done.
Are you talking about the war in Ukraine here at work?
- In the beginning, we talked a lot about it, of course.
There was a lot of unrest and stuff like that.
But not so much now anymore, she says.

Weapons are donated to Ukraine
We do not get to know who bought the weapons that are manufactured on the premises.
But Saab Dynamics' information department announces that many countries have chosen to supply defense equipment to Ukraine, some of which has been produced by Saab.
On several boxes in the room there are orange stickers warning that what is being produced is explosive material.
But it is not a dangerous job, according to Sofie Petersen.
- No, safety always comes first, so I think we can feel safe, she replies.
